After clearing one of the most challenging sections in the rollercoaster, I've felt very much empowered to start covering more ground. After hearing someone I met was already in front Royal, a ways ahead of me, I covered 15 miles yesterday. After 49 miles from Harper's Ferry, Shenendoah national park isn't too much further now.
I'm sure this waterfall has a name but I just had to climb it. Truthfully getting down is the hard part. It's also when I learned to leave my pack behind if I'm coming back down a hill, back up to a ridge, etc.
There are difficult moments as well. Forgetful as ever and in a hurry to tackle the next climb, I left my camera at this water source and only realized at the top of the next mountain when I wanted a shot.
Even so, not a moment has gone by where I haven't been happy to be here.
